Our adventures in Baby Wearing

We went up north this weekend (well more north of us) to Sandpoint, Idaho. While up there we took the kids to the park along Lake Pend Oreille, it was a beautiful day out. Seamus had a blast running all around, and poor sick Kieran just liked being with mommy or daddy. The parking lot was a good walk away from the park so instead of carrying Kieran in her car seat I put her in our make shift wrap. It was nice having her there and so so so much easier to do then carry the car seat.

We've also started to wear her around stores since its really hard to put her and car seat in the cart and try to fit things around her.

And scary the hubby offered to wear her at the grocery store yesterday! (9.27.09)

International Baby Wearing Week 2009

I've seen this on a few blogs lateley! I just started wearing Kieran and she and I both love it. I couldnt do it with Seamus due to his torticollis (and all I knew about back then were slings that hurt him badly). Baby Naturally is giving away one Moby in any solid color they have in stock! Poverty.Jane AI2 that I won

Here's some pictures of Kieran in the Poverty.Jane diaper that I won.
I washed(hot water, 2 rinses) it 4 times before she wore it. She had it on for about 2.5hrs and it just barley started to leak through. Its a cute diaper but I think I gotta wait till shes a little bigger for it(leg holes were loose around her little legs no matter what I did) But its super cute and way way way soft!

Cold

What in the world happened to summer?! It went from being horribly hot 2weeks ago, in the high 90's, then last week to the mid 70's and now the last 2days its been in the mid 60's. At night its been in the low 40's. Freaking cold! The weather says its supposed to get back up to the mid 80's at the end of the week, we'll see. I'm not saying the rain we've gotten hasnt' been welcome but dang its cold!

Breastfeeding Milestone

Well its not a major one but every month is still a milestone to me, especially after Kieran's issues at first!
5 Months! She's been nursing for 5mo now, and get this, no solids yet! I'm so proud to have not caved in! With Seamus we started him just before 4mo but his reflux was really bad and I wanted to try everything to try to help him. Kieran is perfectly content on just the boob milk for now. We will probably be starting solids after shes 6months old. I'm so proud of my little girl...now only if we can get rid of the nipple shield!

Gotta run, shes hungry now!

Why

Why do I stay up so late? It bites me in the butt every morning! Its 3:10am PST right now and I'm still up, Kieran's been asleep since around 10pm, Seamus since 8:30pm and hubby since 1am. ARgh, I need to learn to sleep but I can't. My brain goes haywire after I lay down and it drives me nuts. I start thinking about all the things I need to get back up to do, and I'm scared once I fall asleep one of the kids will wake up and then I'll be even more cranky cause I didn't get any sleep at all. Save me.

9.1.2006 was the day I married the man of my dreams, my Edward. I love him with all my heart and still get butterflies in my tummy even 4.5 yrs later. (hahaha love the Twilight reference :P)
