NYC New York Color IndividualEyes Custom Compact ~Review~
One of the things I love about the NYC New York Color IndividualEyes Custom Compact, is that it has different shades to create different looks with. The palate also has some 'how to' directions on the back for people not as experienced, like me, on how to do the makeup. There's lighter greys, medium greys and a dark almost black. You could easily do a light daytime look or a dramatic night look all with this little palate. Another thing that I loved about this palate is that you don't need a whole bunch of the eye shadow for it to show. The palate also has a primer to put on before you do any shadow color. The primer is a little thicker then the other kind that I normally use, but once it was rubbed in it really didn't matter that it was thicker. I loved that there is the 'how to' guide on the palate but I also loved that you can create any look that you like from this simple palate! A bonus, is the price...You get 4 shadow colors, the highlighter and the primer for under $5!
Here's the look I created with the NYC New York Color IndividualEyes Custom Compact

LypSyl Intense Protection LypMoisturizer™ - Review
When I tried the LypSyl I was surprised at how smooth feeling it was, it wasn't a hard like other lip products can be. I also loved the size and style of the container, the little bee on the side of it to push it up and down is a cute unique touch! I am IN LOVE with this product now! It lasts for hours unlike other products I've tried before. I was able to get a good 4 hours before I would need to put on some more. I also love to put it on at night before bed and wake up to nice smooth lips instead of dry cracked ones. I even talked hubby into putting some on and he liked the feeling and how smooth it made his lips. I have shown quite a few of my friends the LypSyl and they think that its a neat product as well.

E.L.F. haul and Mystery Bag!
Not everything I bought was for me, my mom's 44th birthday is on November 1st so some of this is for her birthday present (one clarifying powder, a lipstick, the coffee eye liner, and the eye shadow). Everything I bought was only $1 except for the pressed powder which was $3 and the nail polishes were $2/ea.
Now for the Mystery Bag!.....
I was pretty happy with my Mystery Bag. In the bag I got a pair of false lashes $1 (can't wear due to my glasses though), a nail polish in pearl $2, a Flat Eye Liner Brush that is from their Mineral Line and is $5, Studio Lip Liner & Blending Brush in Fuchsia $3, a smoothing lip balm in Blackberry Crème $1, lotion wipes in sweet mango $3, a mineral eye shadow in smoldering $3, and shimmer sheets in bronze $3...mystery bag total of $21! I love everything in the bag, especially the smoothing lip balm! The only things I can't make use of are the false lashes due to my glasses and the shimmer sheets because they are too dark for my skin tone, but I love everything else.
Check out E.L.F. and their awesome products! You can find them online and I've also found them at my local Walgreens and Target and I've heard some dollar stores carry it!
And stay tuned....I may just have a giveaway (self sponsored) up my sleeves!

UNREAL Candy ~Review~
I was given the chance to try some new candy from bzzAgent and Unreal Candy. I love me some candy so I couldn't pass up the opportunity to try something new. The thing that really caught my eye about this candy is that its "unjunked" there are no corn syrups, hydrogenated fats, GMOs, artificial colors, flavors and preservatives. Unreal, instead, uses real products like; real cane sugar, real milk, peanuts, and cacao.
We have tried 4 of the 5 different kinds of Unreal candy so far. We've tried the Chocolate Candy Shell Peanuts #54, the Chocolate Candy Shell #41, the Chocolate Caramel Nougat #5, and the Chocolate Peanut Butter #77 and we have liked them all. The only one that we haven't tried yet is the Chocolate Caramel Peanut Nougat #8 so far. My kids are in love with #54 and #41, they think the colors are awesome and that they taste just as good if not better then the "name brand" type of similar products. I am very very partical to the #5, it tastes way better then the "name brand" product that it is similar to and I could probaly eat it every day. The #77 was ok, it wasn't our favorite but it wasn't horrible either.
The first thing I noticed about UN #54 and #41 was the color. The colors aren't the normal IN YOUR FACE look at me I'm bright colors that we here in the US are used to, instead the colors are darker. There are no artificial colors in these so if you can't eat artificial colors but like candy these may be a good option for you! I really liked the fact that the artificial colors were removed. It really reminded me of candy that I've seen from England where artificial colors are banned.
Over all I really liked these candies and I am planning to buy some more! I have found these at my local Walgreen's and Staples stores here in North Idaho. You can also find them at CVS, Michael's, Food 4 Less, Fred Meyer, Kroger, Ralphs, Rite Aid, Haggen, Top food and drug, and BJ's. Unreal is also coming soon to Target stores sometime in October!
Here are some pictures of what UN #54, #41 and #5 look like and of Miss. Kieran eating some!

SheaMoisture Baby Bar Soap ~Review~
I'm in love with this soap! I've been using it on my Kieran for the last 2 weeks and I wish I've had it for the last 3 years.
The packaging was very nice and simple, and super easy to open and didn't rip apart or stick to the soap like other brands of bar soaps. The first thing0 that I noticed, after opening it, was the smell of the soap. The smell is a nice soft Shea smell and not overpowering like other soaps. When I put it in the washcloth I was very surprised at how quickly it lathered up. A little goes along way with this soap and its awesome. Most bar soaps that I've tried you have to work up a lather for a minute or two and sometimes it doesn't even stay, not this soap it was nice an foamy the entire time! We love this soap.
My Kieran is always asking to take a bath with her special soap now!

3 more months
Other then that I requested a B12 and Creatinine test to be ran. Both came back lower then the low cut off, but not quite to the deficient point. The range for the B12 is 900-245, mine is a 235. The Creatinine is 1- 0.5 mine is 0.44. I did however find out that I was supposed to have fasted before those tests, which I wasn't notified of by my neuro or the lab tech so I don't know how off the levels could be. I ended up getting a B12 shot and am taking a 2500mcg supplement a day, we're just hoping that the low Creatinine level is due to the low B12 level. They also did a test for anemia and that came back just fine (there is a B12 related anemia that can cause the issues that I have so they were ruling that out because that is deadly if left untreated).
Sorry for the slow posting on my blog. Earlier this year I started having hand problems (meaning my upper limbs are starting to become affected) and there are some days it hurts to even do my homework let alone post a blog post. I try to post at least once a month!

Quaker Soft Baked Oatmeal Cookies Review
I loved how the cookie was nice and soft when I opened the packaging. It seemed to be made of fresher ingredients. I decided to split the cookie in two and let the kids each have one side. I had to split it because the package only had one cookie in it. My daughter devoured it, my son...he saw there were raisin's in it and freaked out. K ended up eating her brother's half as well. I was bugged for days by her for another cookie so she must have loved it since that's how 3yr olds express love for food! (I WANT MORE COOKIE!)
I didn't get a chance to personally try the cookie, but over all it seemed good and from a brand that I like and trust, it also smelled pretty yummy!

imPRESS Press On Manicure Review
I'm not a fake nail person so I wasn't exactly excited for this in my box. I decided to give them a try for a big BBQ we were having, just to add a little flair.
Took about 20 minutes to get them all sized to my fingers and put on. They were pretty quick and easy to put on, though I did have a couple that were hard to peal off the backing on.
They stayed on wonderfully though a shoping trip with 2 young kids and while washing dishes, as well as throughout the party.
Its nice that they are a shorter length so they don't get in the way but my nail beds are quite long so the nails weren't any longer then my natural fingernail was. I would like to see some that are of a slightly longer size for those of us with longer nail beds.

Venus & Olay Razor Review
When I opened the razor the first thing that I noticed was that it has 2 good sized Olay Moisture bars on it, one on top and one on bottom. Seeing those had me a little worried that it would make it more cumbersome for me to shave since its already hard on me with my neuromuscular disease. I was pleasantly surprised at the fact that the bars have a little 'give' to them and move so that they can contour around your body. The handle had a nice soft grip on it so it doesn't slip out of your hand. I loved the fact that it has 5 blades in it, it ment it only took 1-2 passes on one spot to get all the hairs gone unlike my other razors that took 3-5 passes over one spot. The razor also came with a suctioned wall hanger so I can store the razor up out of reach from little exploring hands. I really liked how smoothly this razor shaved, and with the Olay Moisture bars on it, it eliminated the need for any shaving cream and left my skin feeling super smooth afterwords. I was able to go 3-4 days before my legs would get subbly again which was also an added bonus.
Venus & Olay Razor
For the first time ever, Gillette Venus, a global leader in female shaving, and Olay, a global leader in skincare, are coming together to deliver a gold standard in shaving with the new Gillette Venus & Olay razor. - Olay Moisture Bars contain skin-enhancing elements found in Olay products: Petrolatum helps lock in skin’s moisture for less dryness and Glycerin helps offer that goddess glow! Just wet the razor to release a light lather – no separate shave cream required.
- As with most Venus razors, new Venus & Olay also features a rounded, pivoting head designed for women’s curves, and a soft-grip ergonomic handle for confident control, even in wet and soapy environment

Truvía® natural sweetener Product Review
I got a sample box of Truvía natural sweetener from Influenster in part of my LoveVox Box that I received last week. The box was full of a bunch of different products to test and review, Truvía being one of those products. Truvía is a product that I have never tried before so it was a new experience for me to try it out.
I'm normally not big on using sweeteners, most that I try have a really fake taste to them. I was very surprised when I put Truvía in my tea! It doesn't have the fake taste that others have and I even put some on my finger to taste by itself. One packet flavored my tea perfectly, unlike the couple cubes of pure sugar that I normally have to use. I really love that I don't have to use a ton like I do with sugar or other similar sweeteners, I like my tea to be sweet and its always hard to get it just right but the Truvía was the perfect sweetness for me.
Truvía can be used in may different things from coffee's, to teas, to on your cereal or even in your cooking. I have yet to try it other then in my tea since thats normally when I use sugar, but with the nice taste of Truvía I think it would taste good with almost anything that you'd use normal sugar for. The only thing I 'warn,' again, is you don't need a ton of Truvía like other sweeteners, a little goes along with with Truvía.
Truvía® natural sweetener
Truvía® natural sweetener is the first natural, great-tasting, zero-calorie sweetener born from the leaves of the stevia plant.
o One packet of Truvía® natural sweetener provides the same sweetness as two teaspoons of sugar.
o Truvía® natural sweetener is refreshingly uncomplicated. Add it to coffee and tea. Sprinkle it on fruit and cereal.
o Truvía® natural sweetener is a great alternative for people with diabetes. It is also kosher certified.
Where to Buy
Truvía® natural sweetener is available nationally at most major retailers and in package sizes of 40-count, 80-count, 140-count and a spoonable jar. Find a store here.

Kiss Nail Dress Review
I'm normally not one to paint my nails or do much to them, the feeling of paint and such bugs me for some reason. Since I normally don't like the feeling of stuff on my nails (fingers or toes) I was a little worried about trying the Kiss Nail Dress. I decided to put them on the night I got them, just before bed.
When I opened the box of Kiss Nail Dress I was expecting this long list of instructions on how to put them on. I was very surprised to see the instructions so short and simple! Its not a big complex process to put them on like other nail products, which is awesome especially if you wanted to throw some on last minute before a big event. I put mine on my fingers and toes and went to bed to see how well they would last over night since I toss and turn alot. I woke up the next morning and was very surprised that they were all still in place and looked just the same as they did 8hrs before! What else was nice, they didn't bug me like painting my nails normally does :). The next day I went about my day, almost forgetting that I had these on; I washed dishes, washed my hands a ton of times, went to the store, made lunch for company and the greatest thing, the nails weren't chipped or pealing off like normal nail polish would after all that wear and tear. I left my fingers on for a couple days and they lasted all the way up till I took them off, and taking them off was just as simple as putting them on no long process with that either. My toes are still pretty and still have the Kiss Nail Dress on them!
Over all I really liked these, they were quick and simple for people like me that don't like to take a lot of time to look nice, but they are also nice and beautiful for people that like to dress up. There are a lot of different designs that are offered so you can dress up any outfit and event. Quick, easy and beautiful, I would suggest everyone try them out!
Kiss Nail Dress
Fashion That Sticks
Introducing Kiss Nail Dress, ultimate nail fashion for tips and toes! Just peel, apply, and shape for a manicure that lasts up to 10 days. On in minutes, off in seconds without remover. Nail Dress is available in 18 different styles, many of them featuring 3-dimensional jeweled designs. Check out Peplum, a deep black with multi-colored gems for a pop of color, or Babydoll, for a golden and glamorous jeweled look. Skip the topcoat, Nail Dress has it built in.
With 28 strips in each package, you can cut up your extras to create designs that can be used on top of polished or artificial nails. Nail Dress doesn’t dry out the way other polish strips can, so you can save them to use on your next DIY mani. A nail design booklet is included in each package, just in case you need a little inspiration.
And don’t forget about your feet! Nail Dress looks awesome on toes, too – just use the square side of the sticker for a perfect fit.

Some of the going ons here
#1 my son started Kindergarten in September so we've had to learn what it was like being in 'big kid school'
#2 He had his ADOS/ADI-R test for Autism in August and September. It took till November before we got the results. He was 1 point above the cut off for Aspergers. So at this point he is PDD-NOS, once he's 8yrs old they will give him an IQ test and a Theroy of Mind test to see if it is Asperger's or not. I was told by the person that gave him the test that the only reason he scored above was because, even with his language delays, his speech made him score too high...
#3 His pedi wanted him to start IBI (Intensive Behavioral Intervention). It took a while for us to figure out if we wanted to do that or keep his PSR (he gets or or the other). We decided in November to do the IBI. He had his SIB-R test at the Department of Disabilities in early December. At the end of December we found out he was approved for it (which only the most 'severe' get approved). We just started the IBI processes at the end of January, we had to wait for an opening, and it takes 30-60 days for the center to do evals and write up a plan specific to him and then upto 30 more days for the state to approve his plan. But once thats done he will be getting IBI, after school, at a Montessori school which I'm super excited about.
#4 My daughter had to go to Shriner's Hospital. She has "curly" toes, and I was worried that it was a sign of the neuromuscular disease that I have (which at that time we still didn't know what I had/have). She had surgery in early January to release the tendons under 2 toes (one each foot) to try to help that out. As of right now it looks like she may be the 5% that the surgery failed in :( This means that when she is 5-6yrs old they will go in and pin the toe that is croocked/crossed/curled. They cut the toe and then pin the bone straight and cast it for 6-8weeks.
#5 I have been back and forth trying to get into a Neurologist for my neuromuscular issue to figure out what I have. I finally got county assistance in early January (we are one of the millions without insurance and can't afford $5k+ in Neuro bills). I just had my Neuro appt today. He is "very" he knows what I have. He says I have something called Charcot-Marie-Tooth(CMT) disease. It is a progressive disease, basically the nerves that controll the muscles in the extremities stop working. Right now both my legs are affected. My left way worse then my right, but my right is 'catching' up to be just as bad. I go on March 14th for an EMG nerve conduction test of my legs, to varify that I do in fact have CMT, and he's also sending me for an MRI of my lower back just to be sure that I don't have anything going on there (which he said he highly doubts). I will be in AFO (ankle foot orthotics) leg braces for the rest of my life, and depending on how bad my hands get I could be in braces there. My chances of being wheel chair bound are fairly high in my case. The doctor was surprised at the fact that I'm actually able to walk right now with how bad it is. The sad thing, CMT is hereditary, which means the kids have it (from what I've read CMT doesn't skip generations, its just that some generations have milder forms that go unnoticed or people think they have things like carpal tunnel and such), it also means that poor Kieran's toes are probably a sign of it. :(
So that is the happenings here in our lives, we also just moved this week! Now you can see why I've been so scarce over the last few months. I'm really hoping to get cracking here again!
